DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
Computer Diagnostic Service
Sometimes something goes wrong in the computer system of today's highly technical, computer-controlled vehicles that can result in your transmission receiving the wrong signals. The Abram Computer Diagnostic Service is performed to determine if an electronic component is affecting your transmission's shifting or overall performance.
This service includes:
Using a computer system scanner to retrieve any trouble codes and to determine
the probable cause
Reviewing the computer system data to see whether the problem is inside or outside
of the transmission or in the computer system
Your trained Abram technician will also:
Check the electronic components
Check the solenoids and sensors
Check the wiring that affect the transmission
He can then determine if an electronic components or part needs to be replaced, so that your car can be back on the road as soon as possible.
External Diagnostic Service (EDS)
The Abram External
Diagnostic Service (EDS) is a systematic and comprehensive three-part evaluation
of the overall performance and condition of your transmission.
A trained technician will check the level and condition of your transmission
fluid A low fluid level may indicate a leak, while burnt or contaminated fluid
may point to overheating or other transmission problems.
The technician takes your car on a road test to experience first-hand any problems
you have noticed, and to evaluate your car's performance.
Your vehicle will be placed on a lift to inspect underneath for any possible
external cause to problem.
From these tests, your qualified EDS technician can determine what type of problem
you might have, and make a recommendation for service if necessary.
REPAIR SERVICES
Automatic Transmission
A complete disassembly of your transmission
A thorough cleaning and inspecting of your transmission's internal and external
components by an Abram certified technician.
From experience, Abram technicians know which parts always need to be replaced
and we’ll replace them with new, reconditioned, or rebuilt components.
This includes:
All gaskets
Sealing Rings
O Rings
Lip seals
Front and rear seals
Support or axle support bushings
All friction clutches
Your transmission will be refilled with the appropriate new transmission fluid
Your technician will rebuild your transmission to Abram quality standards to
get you back on the road as quickly as possible
Standard or Manual Transmission
A complete disassembly of your transmission
A thorough cleaning and inspecting of your transmission's internal and external
components by Abram certified technicians.
From experience, Abram technicians know which parts always need to be replaced
and we’ll replace them with new, reconditioned, or rebuilt components.
This includes:
All gaskets and seals
Front and rear seal support or axle support bushings
All synchronizer soft parts
All worn and damaged hard parts, including your clutch, pressure plate and flywheel,
will be inspected for excessive wear and damage and also replaced as necessary
Your transmission will be refilled with the appropriate new transmission fluid
Your technician will rebuild your transmission to Abram quality standards to
get you back on the road as quickly as possible
Minor Services
Many times, the result of an External Diagnostic Service can determine that an Abram Minor Service is required to correct a transmission problem.
MAINTENANCE SERVICES
Safeguard Services
As part of your transmission's regular suggested maintenance, the experts at
Abram recommend our Safeguard Service. This maintenance service includes:
Changing your vehicle's transmission fluid
Replacing the filter or cleaning the screen if applicable
Replacing the pan gasket
Performing a final leak-check
Performing a road test
This service is warranted for 90 days against any leaks from your pan gasket.
